Fir Needle Oil (Siberian)

(Abies siberica)



DESCRIPTION: This pinus type tree grows in wide areas of the former U.S.S.R.. Steam distillation is performed on the branches and needles which yields a pale yellow or almost water white oil with an odor most pleasant and refreshing characteristic of fir needles. It is a fresh, balsamic aroma associated with the natural scent of a pine forest.

PROPERTIES: Antiseptic, antitussive, astringent, diuretic, expectorant, nervine, tonic.

Uses - Can be used for diarrhea, cystitis, mucous colitis, leucorrhea, uterine prolapse, pharyngitis, stomatitis, and gingivitis. The elevating, strengthening, and energy-releasing properties have been used for aromatherapy. This popular oil is used to bring out masculine, outdoorsy attributes in men’s fragrances, bath preparations, air fresheners, herbal, moss, soaps, and shaving creams.

BLENDS WITH: Fir Needle blends well with pine, oakmoss, cedarwood, galbanum, benzoin, lavender, lavandin, and rosemary.

CAUTIONS: Non-toxic, non-irritant, non-sensitizing. Avoid use in the sun. Liquid may cause irritation to the eyes.
